Ranthambore National Park: Best Place to Spot the Bengal Tiger

Lauded for being one of the most renowned and biggest national parks in the Northern India, Ranthambore National Park is situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. Initially, it was a sought after hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The Government of India has established it as a Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955. In 1973 it was included in the list of Project Tiger Reserves. The park remains closed from July to September.

It is known for being the best spot for spotting Bengal tigers in their natural habitat. Along with the tigers, one can also spot chital, sloth bear, hyena, wild boar, nilgai and leopard.
